Andy founded Opvantek, Inc. in 1996 . He is the creator and lead architect of the original Optimain® suite of products, including Optimain DS and Optimain ACM. Andy has more than 35 years of experience in utility management, business process consulting, and software product development.
During his career, Andy has participated in more than 50 consulting and IT engagements, spearheading business process, quality, and operational improvement initiatives for dozens of major utility and manufacturing companies. Through persistent focus on bottom-line objectives, he has helped many of these companies achieve significant cost savings and operational improvements. Andy has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. His academic pursuits continue to be operations research, risk management, finance, and statistics. He is the author of numerous papers and has spoken on strategic asset- and risk- management issues in front of several leading industry groups, including GPTC, GITA, EPRI, AGA, GTI, and others.
Tony joined Opvantek, Inc. in 2005 and became a full partner in 2018. His background includes over 30 years of utility industry consulting and software product development experience, working for companies including GeoData Solutions, Navigant Consulting, Smallworld Systems, and GE Energy. Tony is a key contributor to the Common Ground Alliance’s Technology Committee and an active member of the American Gas Association’s Distribution Integrity Management Committee. He is also an award-winning speaker at industry forums including the Common Ground Alliance Excavation Safety Conference and GITA International, and has authored articles for various industry journals, including the Pipeline and Gas Journal and Damage Prevention Professional.
Tony establishes Opvantek, Inc.‘s overall product strategy based on input from current and prospective customers, market research, and industry regulations. He also oversees product architecture and design, and ensures the company’s products are aligned with the latest technology trends.

Lauren has served as Opvantek’s Director of Software Development since 2013. Lauren joined Opvantek in 2004 as the company’s Office Manager and a short 5 years later she was promoted to QA & Support Manager. She now oversees Opvantek’s software development, testing and support activities. Her experience includes program & project management, quality assurance, customer support, business analysis & design, event planning and performance metrics. Lauren also chairs the Opvantek’s yearly User Group meeting.
Lauren has a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance. She has a BM in Voice Performance and Business Management from West Chester University of PA.
Matt joined Opvantek in 2014 as the company’s sales and marketing director. Matt is tasked with growing the business both in a revenue and a communications capacity. Matt’s experience includes over 20 years of experience in the utility, manufacturing and publishing arenas. Opvantek had its best year ever in terms of revenue in 2017 and is positioned for growth. The company is taking great strides in growing their customer and product base. Opvantek’s position as a leader in the field allows utilities to have trust in the company to help mitigate their risk profiles and ultimately save lives.
In addition to his duties at Opvantek, Matt also focuses his efforts on Pediatric Cancer awareness. Matt is involved in numerous foundations to help increase awareness and funding for pediatric cancer. Only 4%of cancer funding goes to pediatric cancer. That is not enough.
